Snow Ohio Style!!

This is my attempt at capturing the potato chip size snowflakes we had yesterday!

Getting ready to go

Burrrr cold!

Wyatt shoveling the layers of ice and snow.

Jane and Julia

After I had to make her come inside.

Maggie did make it out for about 5 min. And yes she is in her Christmas pj's(hey they still fit) a coat that is 2 sizes too big and one of Julia's old hats.....

I did try to put a pony in her hair. It will be a while before we do that again.

This morning we had an oatmeal disaster. I dropped the whole bowl on the floor and above is the result. Mags is still on the "baby" oatmeal from Gerber which can be alternately titled Super Glue!!! It was such a mess to get off of the cabinets it was everywhere.

Here is Maggie. Notice how she is NOT going for the bowl at all (which thankfully was still half full and I did not have to make more). Of coarse, the first thing I did was go for the camera to snap some pics and she went for the piles on the floor and started picking it up off the floor and eating it. Nice huh? Yup she is the second child for sure. She got about 2 bites in before I put her in chair.
SIDE NOTE: I must disclose some information about my house cleaning habits. I am NOT an OCD clean freak, everything must be in it's place, germaphobe, housewife. My house is clean, I mean as clean as it can get right now with 2 kids, 2 dogs (that shed). I do not spend hours a day cleaning, sanitizing, scrubbing ect.... I just can't do it. If I did that I would feel like I would never leave my house. I like a "lived in home" not a museum feel. Honestly there is ALWAYS something that needs to be cleaned at all times. I have just come to accept this about my life and house. I would rather play with my kids and hang with my hubby when he is home then play house maid. This also means that I always wait until the last minute when I know people are coming over before I start picking up. There is just no point in doing it early because I would just be redoing what I have already done. It is a vicious cycle. So now you know how I feel about cleaning. This I feel makes it all the more amusing that Maggie ate oatmeal off of the floor. God make dirt right?! Have a great Thursday!!

Winter is WAY too long!!

Doing dishes
Not smiling for the camera

She Loves looking at the world upside down

Once again we are having a cold week in central Ohio. We were teased last week with one day in the 40's but since then it has just been COLD!! We are making the most of if though. We are spending alot of time at home and playing all day long. Julia is really into "washing dishes" in the kitchen sink and really not into getting her picture taken so I only have a few shots of her. Maggie has been walking more and more everyday and really hamming it up. She is really into books right now and she pretends that she is reading (sooo cute). I was able to get some video. She has also started swatting/hitting me in the face. I tell her "No No" and shake my head at her and then she puts her head on my shoulder and hugs me. I love it!! Not the hitting but the hugging. It is so funny how things change. Julia only wants to be hugging on me if Maggie is and then when I put her to bed tonight I asked her for a hug and a kiss and she said, "No thanks, Mama I am too tired tonight." They grow up so fast!! So I hugged and kissed her anyway as she tried to squirm away from me.

" hey back off big sister!! I got this."

Julia playing in the water.

This weekend was another COLD one up here in Ohio!! We finally took the girls out for a fun trip to COSI on Sunday. COSI is like the children's museum in Memphis with lots of fun things for kids and some stuff for parents too! The girls enjoyed the water play, slides, balls, and rats playing basketball. We had a great afternoon.

Maggie is also hamming it up at dinner time too! I have to sing to her while I am getting her supper otherwise she SCREAMS at the top of her lungs until you put food on her tray. It is crazy and I am not exaggerating at all. It is headache causing screams and we just have to laugh at her. But I sing the supper song and it keeps her from screaming so now she dances and it is too cute not to share. Please excuse my singing ability. It is not my best feature......Enjoy!

A High of 5!!

Yup that is correct...today the high is a whopping 5 degrees. When Wyatt left the house this morning it was -10. Needless to say Julia's parents day out has been cancelled as have most of the schools just due to the temp. Sooooo we are staying at home for the 3rd day in a row and not getting out in this frigid air. Julia did attempt to "play" in the snow for about 5 min on Wed. She made one snow angel and then decided she was too cold and we came back in. I was able to get some pics. Also Miss Maggie Moo Moo is taking some steps. It took ALOT of tries but I did manage to get some video of about 3 steps.

Don't forget to pause the music!

Happy New Year (a little late I know)

Things have been busy around here ever since the holidays ended. Julia had a birthday party and it was a princess theme and she made this crown and wand. Also note the cute outfit gifted to her by Grandmama and Graddaddy for Christmas.

Here is some more of the cuteness they got for Christmas.
MiMi came for a long weekend to keep the girls. Wyatt had a meeting in Orlando and I was able to go and meet him and we got to visit with Mike and Liz. We had a BLAST!!! It was warm and sunny (it was nice to leave the coats at home and enjoy some fresh air). Thanks for having us ya'll. We miss you!!

Mimi and Maggie. What a grin on the girl!!

All three

Soo sad to see Mimi go....thanks for coming Mama you did great and the girls had fun miss you lots!!
Now we have about 6 inches of snow on the ground and I am sure we will be in the house ALL day tomorrow just like we were today. I believe the high is 8 and the low is -10 and i will not be going anywhere.
Julia did attempt to play in it a little today so I will put up some snow pics tomorrow.
