What a weekend......

We had a wonderful visit with Mike and Liz this weekend and were soo sad to see them go. We had so much fun just hanging out. We had a sitter one night so we could go out and that turned into a disaster when Maggie would not take a bottle from her. So we came home to settle the girls down and then left again so we did not loose the whole night. We will begin working on Maggie's bottle skills this week. The weather was actually great for a change and we grilled out 2 nights. As you can see from some of the pictures Julia shucked corn for the first time and she was a great helper. Our neighbors also broke out the little tykes bouncer in their backyard and Julia had a ball playing over there. When it was time to leave she went into total meltdown mode and really showed them how to be a 3 year old drama queen. Also please note how cute Liz is looking these days with her growing bump....we can't wait to meet baby Miller.

It finally happened........

Maggie at 3 months

Julia at about 3 months

Maggie finally pooped for the first time in 9 days last night. It has been crazy around here to say the least. After a week of no action from Maggie I called the nurse and she assured me this was normal with breastfed babies that sometimes they only go once a week when they hit about 3 months. I called again yesterday and still they said the same thing it was normal and she will go. Last night was the night........ Wyatt and I have never been so excited to change a dirty diaper (parents of babies I know you can relate). Needless to say we were happy she went and she is doing great and I know she is feeling much better. Other than that we are getting ready for our company this weekend. Mike and Liz are coming for a visit and we cannot wait to see them!!

Have a great weekend.

MiMi and Pop come to visit!!!

Things have settles down since Mimi and Pop have headed back to Memphis. The girls had a BLAST with them. Saturday since it was the only pretty day they had we went to the park. Julia got to show them all the fun slides and how big she is now climbing on everything. Sunday on we ventured to COSI since it was rainy so we could play inside. After about an hour just as we were about to watch live trained rats play basketball (no joke) the fire alarm sounded. Due to a tornado warning we had to move to the ground level and sit in the ocean exhibit for an hour. You can just imagine crazy that was with elevators and strollers and about a million kids. The kids did fine the whole time and while Pop had Maggie in the baby carrier on his chest she decided to have the dirty diaper of the century. It took 2 of us to change her complete wardrobe. After all of that excitement we took it easy on Monday and watched a movie. Julia's new obsession is watching Mimi put in and taking out her contacts. Then Julia pretends she has them too. It is pretty funny. Julia is modeling a new bathing suit to use this summer at Grandmama's and Granddaddy's pool. She can't wait to use it!! All in all it was a great visit and we miss them already.

PS. the picure of the marshmallows is what Julia built at school yesterday and hers
was 3 times bigger then anyone else's in the class. What a little architect. It is a "sleeping bed" the toenails are Pop's Julia gave him a pedicure.

Sunday at the Park

We have had a fun filled weekend. Wyatt and Julia went to Cosi on Saturday (children's science center and play area) and had a blast. It was pretty wet here on Saturday so that was a good way to get some exercise inside and have fun at the same time. Maggie and I shopped and had a quiet afternoon together. Sunday we actually slept in (until 8:30) very rare these days and then headed to the park after lunch. We had never been to this park and to say the least it was "AWESOME" (see the pictures). It had a large shaded pavilion for little ones to stay out of the sun and a huge playground. We had a great time!! Now we are looking forward to Mother's Day weekend with Mimi and Pop. They will be here on Thursday and staying until Tuesday (Yeah)!!! I can't sign off with out giving a Big Birthday shout out to Grandmama Lynn in Hattiesburg. I believe she celebrated her 29th birthday yesterday!! Happy Birthday!!! Love ya'll and have a great week.
